16th VERT Forum & Focus Day 2026
The 16th VERT Forum and the VERT Focus Day were held on 19th-20th March 2026 in partnership with METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology in Bern, Switzerland. The events were a great success and we would like to thank once again all participants, sponsors, exhibitors and presenters. The energy from the particle emissions community was palpable as we gathered over 125 participants to discuss the future of air quality and emission controls. This year's event was dedicated to Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and the mission of the New Periodic Technical Inspection (NPTI). A huge thank you to everyone who joined the conversation to help bridge the gap between research and real-world application. Please find the conference flyer with all details on the program for the two days event - Conference flyer.

Highlights from the Event:
-16 Industry-Leading Exhibitors: A major thank you to our particle instrument manufacturers, including AVL, BARTEC, DEKATI, HELLA-GUTMANN, KNESTEL, OPUS, PEGASOR, RYME, SCALE, SENSORS, TEN, TOPAS, and TSI. Your technology is vital for the transition from pure mass metrics to particle number (PN) measurement.
-Focus Day Sessions: We took a deep dive into NPTI Review and Mission, exploring its expansion into global markets like Chile (2026) and Mexico (2027)
- Innovative Solutions: Discussions spanned from virus protection in schools and hospitals to GPF-retrofit solutions within the HORIZON Europe AeroSolfd project.
-IAQ Focus: We addressed the urgent need for mitigation principles for indoor nanoparticle pollution, targeting a reduction in infection risks of over 95%.
Special thanks to all presenters that made both the VERT Forum and the VERT Focus day memorable events for IAQ and NPTI. Please find all presentations below.
